General Info

Tucked into the lively streets of Florence, Berberè Pizzeria Santa Croce brings a relaxed dining experience that feels both modern and deeply connected to classic Italian pizza culture. Located at Via dei Benci, 7, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy, this pizza restaurant has become a popular stop for locals and travelers looking for flavorful food, comfortable seating, and a casual atmosphere near the heart of the city. The location itself adds to the charm, especially for visitors exploring nearby streets before settling in for a quick bite or a long evening meal outdoors.

One of the first things that stands out from the menu is the Pizza Margherita Con Bufala Doc. The balance of rich tomato sauce, soft mozzarella, and fresh buffalo cheese creates a pizza that tastes fresh without feeling too heavy. The crust has that satisfying texture pizza lovers always hope for-light, airy, and easy to finish slice after slice. Mozzarella appears throughout several menu options, adding creamy flavor that works perfectly with the restaurant’s approach to simple but memorable ingredients.

The atmosphere feels easygoing yet polished. Outdoor seating gives the restaurant an energetic street-side vibe, especially during busy evenings when Florence comes alive with conversation and movement. Inside, the seating arrangement stays comfortable and welcoming, making it suitable for small groups, casual dinners, or solo diners wanting a relaxed meal. The service style keeps things efficient without feeling rushed, which works especially well for visitors searching for a dependable pizza spot between sightseeing stops.

Beyond the pizzas, a few menu items leave a strong impression. The tiramisù offers a smooth and balanced finish after a savory meal, while the salchicha selection adds a slightly richer flavor profile for guests wanting something beyond traditional toppings. Drinks like Mole Cola also help the restaurant feel different from many standard pizza locations, adding a small but memorable touch to the overall dining experience.

Another detail guests often appreciate is how convenient everything feels. Berberè Pizzeria Santa Croce accepts reservations, making it easier to plan ahead during busy dining hours. NFC mobile payments also simplify the experience for travelers who prefer quick and modern payment options. Combined with fast service and a menu built around quality ingredients, the restaurant creates the kind of experience people often mention in positive reviews after spending time in Florence.

For anyone exploring pizza restaurants in Florence, Berberè Pizzeria Santa Croce delivers a casual but carefully crafted experience where good food, friendly surroundings, and thoughtful service come together naturally.

What customers say?

“ We did some research online for good, reasonably priced pizza in Florence, and this place kept coming up, so we decided to give it a try. Before heading out into the cold, we wanted to check the menu in advance, but their official website only had the menu in Italian. When we arrived, we noticed that the menu on the table was also in Italian. Thankfully, we were told to scan a QR code - and voilà! The full menu was available in English, French, Spanish, and German, which made it much easier to understand what each pizza actually contained. We ordered the Friarielli e Salsiccia pizza (rapini, sausage, mozzarella, and ricotta) and the Diavola pizza (spicy salami, tomatoes, and mozzarella). Both were excellent - flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The pizzas were generously sized as well, easily filling enough that we didn’t feel the need to order any sides. Overall, this is a great spot for satisfying, authentic pizza at a reasonable price. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Florence and craving good pizza. ”
